About AL DEIRA

A house born in Damascus

The story began in a city that understands the value of what lasts

AL DEIRA was born in Damascus — a city where craft has always lived inside the home: in its doors, inlaid wood, and flashes of mother-of-pearl caught in small corners of light.

That became the starting point: to let an object carry something of this history without becoming a replica of the past.

Walnut, natural mother-of-pearl, metal, silk, and Damask rose are chosen for what they already possess — and for the way time deepens rather than diminishes their presence.

Every AL DEIRA piece begins with honest material, a skilled hand, and one intention: that the gift reaches its recipient, then remains long after the occasion has passed.

Our Philosophy

What we make should deserve to remain

We begin with the material itself: the grain of walnut, the natural variation of mother-of-pearl, the touch of metal and silk.

Then comes the hand of the maker — knowing when to add, and when to let the material speak for itself.

For us, the value of a piece is not only in what it carries on the day it is given, but in what it becomes afterwards: an object that lives in a place, gathers traces of its owners, and grows more personal with time.

Our Pillars

What defines AL DEIRA

Our Vision

To build an Arab house of collectible luxury gifts — carrying the identity of Damascus into the present through a contemporary language, and presenting it to the world with confidence and clarity.

Our Craft

Every detail begins by hand: selecting the wood, inlaying mother-of-pearl, refining the edges, fitting the metal, and preparing the interior. Craft is not an added decoration here; it is what gives every piece its real individuality.

Our Heritage

We return to Damascus through its materials, symbols, and details: the Damascene box, old house doors, Damask rose, jasmine, walnut, and mother-of-pearl. We carry forward what deserves to endure and give it a new place in a contemporary object.

The AL DEIRA Difference

Rarity, down to the smallest detail

Walnut selected for its grain and natural depth.

Natural mother-of-pearl whose tone and lustre never repeat in exactly the same way.

Handcraft that gives every piece its own subtle variation.

Limited editions, individually numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Personalisation that connects the piece to its recipient and occasion.

A Damascene identity that is present without reproducing the past.
